The Mice Templar
I picked this up completely on a whim, and I must admit, that I'm looking forward to the next one. It's pretty standard fantasy stuff in that it looks like one young mouse is destined to save the world. Which I'm fine with. I will admit that it was a little tough to keep the characters straight for me. I had to really pay attention to what the mouse was wearing to get an idea of who they were. There's also a number of characters that intermix quite a bit.
There's some good action in the first one. A little bit of history on the The Templar, which is the main focus of the story. An attack from a big spider, which I will admit if I saw a spider bigger than I was, I would probably run screaming like a little girl. Unless I had a flamethrower. That would even things up. But I digress. There's also a big fight at the end with the evil rats.
The rest of the book is actually just one big set up for future issues. Take it as more of an origin/background story than anything else. If you like fantasy, it would be worth picking up and taking a look.
