Glass of wine in hand.
Blank Post before me.
Here we go.
- Can we all agree that Final Crisis was a decent high concept, but far from being Morrison's best work in execution?
- How about we say the same for Bendis and Secret Invasion?
- Four bucks a comic? Bullshit.
- I want to be more interested in Dark Reign than I actually am. I'm betting the previous bullet has a mega crapload to do with that
- I'm now four episodes behind on Heroes
- And five behind on Lost.
- My DVR is set to keep 7 episodes before it starts deleting them. Historically once shit starts getting deleted I stop caring and kill them all. The clock is ticking on those two shows.
- In spite of knowing I would seriously regret it the next day, I'm still debating a midnight showing of Watchmen on Thursday.
- I haven't bagged and boarded a comic since we were all posting regularly. If you happen to have seen some of my weekly reading lists, that gives you an idea of how much work I have to do.
- Am I the only one who thinks that X-Factor is the best X-Book going right now?
- Does it negate my previous statement if I'm only reading two X-Books regularly?
- I have no intention of buying any of the Ultimate titles after Ultimatum has come and gone.
- If anyone out there reading this is planning on buying "Battle for the Cowl" could you write in and explain to me why?
- What's the last statement anyone has read from Didio or Quesada that made the last bit of damned sense? I can't remember now.
- Batman: The Brave and the Bold is an awesome cartoon. For all my efforts to hook my son on Batman : The Animated Series, Brave and the Bold is what has him hooked on Batman.
- Ditto that for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Little dude loses his freakin' mind every time that show comes on tv.
- Not so much the case for Wolverine and the Xmen. Maybe we just haven't given it enough of a shot.
- Am I the only nerd who has never seen an episode of the new Battlestar Galactica?
- Ghost Shark and I have been going through some kind of horror movie remake revival. Thus far this year we've hit My Bloody Valentine and Friday the 13th. I would not want to bet money against us going to see Last House of the Left as well.
- I cannot get "I'm on A Boat" by The Lonely Island out of my head. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go search it on youtube. If you don't think it's funny, you are probably on this sight by accident anyhow.
And finally . . .
- I just finished up all The Sandman trades. Incredible work made even more incredible by the fact I got them all 50% off.I'm willing to bet that has a ton to do with my general discontent with the rest of comics. But that probably deserves it's own post at a later date.

1. Secret Invasion should have been amazing. Great concept, started out wonderfully with some serious paranoia. Really got flat, though. Ironically, I think they could have drug it out longer, rather than fling everyone into a giant skrull/superhero fight that was like every other superhero fight you’ve ever seen. Can’t comment on Final Crisis, because I just couldn’t care enough to read it.
2. You haven’t watched Battlestar Galactica yet?! I’ve done my best to turn all my geeky friends onto that show. I think it rocks. It certainlly starts amazing…maybe has fallen off a bit, but seeing as we’re one episode away from the end, I think I can hang around to see where it goes. =)
3. I’m on a boat does, indeed, rock.
You didn’t read Final Crisis?!?!?!?! But, but it’s the dawn of the Fifth World!
Or so they tell me. I’m not even sure what that means exactly.
I figure I will (try) to make it a point to watch Galactica on DVD when it is all said and done.
