Herc Is Back
Don't get me wrong, I liked the Secret Invasion related issues just fine,but they did lack a little of the fun that a lot of the regular Hercules stuff had. Well, the SI stuff is done with, and Hercules is back to being a hell of a lot of fun. This issue is at the top of the list with the jokes, and as always, they're well done and laugh out loud funny.
In this issue, Hercules and Cho hit an island for some R&R after all of the SI god stuff. Hercules and Namora are getting to know each other pretty well, while Cho is bored on the beach. The R&R gets interrupted by gun toting Amazons. The Amazons kidnap Cho, and are thinking that he might be the best person to sire the next generation of Amazons. Of course they also kill the man after he does all that siring, so Cho is somewhere between damn happy, and thinking it might all be a very bad idea.
The whole issue is played for laughs, and it's great. From the "Atlantean crab hold" to one of the Amazons insinuating that Hercules and Cho might be more than just friends. Good times.
