Drunken Comics Rage

Just got back from a midnight showing of THE DARK KNIGHT.

As the resident DC FanBoy, I felt it was my duty to go see it waaaay past my bedtime and then bring to you, our dear readers, my no doubt eagerly anticipated verdict:

I really liked it.  A lot.

I wasn't expecting to like it too much, because I ultimately didn't care for BATMAN BEGINS.  I didn't hate BEGINS, but the bad ends up outweighing a lot of the good for me.

THE DARK KNIGHT, however, is a damned good flick.  Heath Ledger's Joker really is great.  All of the actors are good, but Ledger's performance truly stands out.

Now, there are a few bits of corny dialogue, the story has some rough spots, there are bits that are so telegraphed it's a little awkward and while I love Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, I think his Bat-Voice is The Suck.  However, right at this minute, I'm still pretty jazzed about the whole thing.

(Of course, it's damn near 5am and I'm a little loopy now.<g>)

I'll be seeing it again.  Possibly more than twice.
