Titans #1
As per usual, there's some spoilers below.
***SPOILER ALERT***
So I'm in the comic shop picking up all the new things that come out this week, and I just happened to see Titans #1. I decided to flip through it real quick, having no idea that DC had this planned. I liked the art, and it started off with Nightwing, so I was interested. I keep flipping, and it's more and more of the original Titans, and then I hit the last page and they mention Trigon. Suddenly I'm buying another comic. The Teen Titans book was one of those that I remember fondly from way back when.
Reading this new #1, it was actually a really good issue. I'm not usually an art guy either, as I'm fine with whatever as long as the art is passable, but the art here really impressed me for whatever reason.
Regardless, I got sucked right in to buying it for nostalgia reasons. Which is probably exactly what they were betting on. I'm interested to see where they go with it though, so right now it's not a bad thing. I'm just hoping this isn't like some old rock band that gets back together, and even though they play all of their old hits, their new stuff just isn't any good and they aren't as cool as you remember them.
