Hulk Red
I've picked up the first two issues of the new Hulk Red series, or Red Hulk, or whatever you want to call it. So far I'm interested in seeing where they go with it. Alright, now with the whole spoiler alert thing. I swear I'm going to get some sort of graphic so I don't have to do this every time.
**** OHHHHH This is the SPOILER alert warning, oh yeaaaaaah****
First off, the Red Hulk kills Abomination right off the bat in issue #1, with a gun. A gun big enough for the Hulk to use becomes a little bit of a running gag, which I also liked.
Iron Man, She-Hulk, General Ross, and Doc Samson now need to find out who and what the new Hulk is. The Abomination was killed in Russia, and there's a bit of a tussle with The Winter Guard, which is made up of URSA Major (a big bear), Red Guardian (their Captain America), Crimson Dynamo (their Iron Man) and Darkstar (uh, I got nothing). The Guard decides they are going after the Red Hulk (although no one knows he's red just yet) because it's a Russian thing. They pretty much get the slap down, and I would have liked to have seen that be a little bit better.
The first issue ends with a couple of twists, Rick Jones waking up with the torn up "Hulk pants", and the fact that Bruce Banner is still in custody.
In the second issue, you find out a lot more on the Red Hulk. First, he's damn mean. Second, he's also pretty damn smart. Then, at the end of the second issue, Red Hulk runs into Rick Jones. The hulk gives him the light backhand, and Rick Jones turns into something called A-Bomb (which I take it is the new Abomination). Gotta thing the next issue is a big fight.
The plot twists have been good, the story is interesting, and I really want to see where it all goes. I do have a few thoughts though.
First, while it's been fun to see as of late, Iron Man is getting his ass kicked a lot lately. He got wailed on in World War Hulk (even in his giant Hulk busting suit), Thor gave him the serious beat down not too long ago, and now the Red Hulk pretty much uses him as a punching bag. Now, that is against two Hulks and a Thunder God, but I'm thinking he might want to upgrade the suit soon.
Also, has there ever been anyone in the Marvel Universe that's been screwed with more than Rick Jones? He's been a version of the Hulk, part of Captain Marvell, been dead, been in a wheel chair, been part of Genis-Vell (which sounds lame), hung out with Rom The Space Knight, been given powers by The Beyonder, and been in more superhero groups, or someone's side-kick, than you can shake a stick at. And those are just the ones that I could remember, or grabbed scanning the wiki on him. There's probably 10 more I didn't list. Now he's the A-Bomb. He's like a super hero nexus or something.
Overall, I'm really looking forward to the next issue of Red Hulk…or Hulk Red. Whatever.

I think its silly that the red hulk killed the abomination with a gun. A gun…?! isnt the abomination supposed to be indestructible, so you could kill him with a gun all along? doesnt make sense. Its just bad writing by Loeb.
