Thor #6
This was one of those transitional issues, where the overall story doesn't move forward that much. I do think it might actually be my favorite of the run so far though.
The bulk of the issue is told in flashbacks, as the townspeople talk to each other about their encounters with the Asgardians. All of the stories are meant to be fun, and one of the actually made me laugh out loud. It's not a throw away though, as there's some foreshadowing on things that I'm sure will be coming up soon, and the ending seems like it will start the next big story arc.
It was a lot of fun, and this has become my favorite book at the moment.
***SPOILER ALERT (blah blah blah)****
I was really interested by the discussion between Dr. Blake and Thor about not wanting to resurrect Odin. It was a good way to kind of get him out of the way, so Thor is pretty much going to stay the ruler of Asgard for the time being. I'm sure someone will bring him back at some point, if the whole ending of this months issue didn't do it already anyway.
